Our Buillding Capabilities
St. Johns Ship Building, Inc. is a full service shipbuilding and marine repair company specializing in commercial steel and aluminum vessel repair as well as new construction. St. Johns also provides industrial steel fabrication.

St. Johns’ shipyard, depending on workload, can employee up to 300 fulltime employees. Many of St. Johns’ key superintendents and foremen have been employed in marine construction in excess of 25 years.

At the present time, St. Johns has over 900’ of bulkhead waterfront including a 400’ launch basin. The shipyard has a 425’ x 75’ fabrication shop as well as a complete carpentry and electrical shop.

The St. Johns’ facility is located on a beautiful 98-acre, wooded site along the St. Johns River in Putnam County (approximately 68 miles southwest of Jacksonville, Florida).

New Construction
Since commencing operations in 2006, St. Johns Ship Building, Inc. currently has contracts to build:
Five (5) Offshore Service Vessels ,
Four (4) 20,000 Barrel-Double Skin Oil Barges, and
One (1) 190’ Landing Craft

Repair Conversion
St. Johns Ship Building, Inc. offers topside repair for vessels up to 400’ in length and 70’ in beam with a maximum draft depth of 12 foot and an air draft of 45 foot.
