New Site Enhancements
The State of Florida has granted St. Johns permission to dredge and install over 2,600 feet of bulkhead at the Florida shipyard. Redevelopment is planned in order to enhance the shipyard's overall capabilities including the approved re-excavation of an old cross canal.

A 1,000-ton marine rail system with a 350’ x 80’ x 55’ fabrication building located at the head of the marine railway is a future projected development.

After St. Johns Completes the dredging project, the canal will be able to accommodate a maximum depth of a 12-foot draft and a height (air draft), above water line, of 45 foot.
